MelloMello Jazz Cafe is a community outreach cafe, bar & venue hidden away deep in the heart of Liverpool city centre. Nestled just on the outskirts of the omnipresent neon brand haven of the uber-consumerist “Liverpool One” development you will find the fiercely independent, eco and ethically aware, all welcoming sanctuary of the MelloMello communal living room.
Founded, re-built and run by a group of close individuals from The Art Organisation, MelloMello prides itself on running as an ethical, morally and socially aware independent community project. Receiving no funding other than the dedication of its volunteers, patrons and fans MelloMello has grown into its now sizeable stride over the past two years of its development.
Now fully licenced MelloMello proudly serves all organic beers, ales, ciders, wines and spirits whilst continuing to serve up the best cup of locally-roasted, fairly traded coffee in Liverpool.
MelloMello is the ultimate night-spot in the North West of England for the free-thinking, the artistic, the shut-out, the beat-down, the creative, the sociable, the lonely, the introverted, the punk, the hippy, the beautiful and the strange.
We host the following unique events on a regular basis:
'Free Rock and Roll', the North's premiere night of free music attracting the cream of underground talent in all genres. Alternate Thursdays.
'Impropriety', Liverpool's most riotous, ridiculous and regal night of improvised drama. Last Thursday of the month
'Comedy Knight', the truly alternative comedy evening in Liverpool. 1st Monday of every month.
'Poetry/Spoken Word Evening', the weird, the wonderful, the surreal, the Shakespearian & the sublime converge at MelloMello on the third Wednesday of every month.

MelloMello also hosts frequent independent events ranging from theatre to dance to experimental & acoustic music. To enquire about booking an event or to peruse the listings, go to the events page! We pride ourselves on our all-encompassing attitude and will try our best to provide the local community with a platform from which to exude their talent.
MelloMello also offers rehearsal spaces for drama, dance, therapies, workshops, meetings and music practicing/recording: providing the community with a place to formulate, plot, create and fine-tune their masterworks at reasonable, affordable prices.
